Courses and Clubs

After completing the beginners courses the club provides several opportunities to further develop your archery skills.

Bambies Club

Bambies is run once a week and it open to 5-7 year olds.  It allows young childrens to experience archery for the first time in a safe and controlled environment.  The club also offers other activities (e.g. art and crafts related to archery) which vary from week to week in additions to the archery facilities.

Improver’s

On completion of the beginners course and as part of our commitment to supporting individuals we offer participants the chance to do a follow on 6 week programme, with dedicated coaching support. This will help new archers to further develop their skills, make the transition from indoors to outdoors (increased distances etc) more comfortable, and help them to establish their technique such that they are better placed to buy their own equipment. This programme includes free loan of equipment, additional ‘introduction to field archery’ session an equipment maintenance workshop and an ‘out of hours’ visit to Wales Archery! The cost of this follow up programme is the same as the Beginners Course, just £35.

Advanced Improver’s

For more experienced members that would like to further develop their skills and have 1-2-1 access to one of our coaches we run additional courses which offer bespoke coaching to help perfect your archery technique. These often run on a Friday evening at Birdlip.
