2 Competitions and 2 Successes!

Wednesday 27th – GL1 – General Practice Session

Tom & James Howse organised a couple of fun competitions to celebrate Las Vegas week and yes, we used 3 spot Vegas faces (with the exception of the longbows), it was certainly something different and generated lots of interest, with many members staying on later that usual! Josh Uzzell was the big prize winner winning an £85 high speed camera session at Wales Archery. Josh has only recently started shooting compound but is making amazing progress, one more from the conveyor belt!

Sunday 31st January – January Challenge Portsmouth

Timed to coincide with the last day for recording January Challenge Scores, highest number of entries to date for an indoor target mock competition with over 45 entries, some of whom had to go on a waiting list! Add to that the coaches, field captain, scorers, volunteers and supporters and it was an amazing attendance!  The result was 10 Personal Bests and a lot of fun!

Just some of our target groups.

Coach Development

This is to confirm that we will be arranging two Level 1 Coaching Courses at the start of the next indoor season.

We are currently preparing material for an important series of workshops aimed at developing observation skills and providing support to improve the design and implementation of Development Plans. These workshops will be particularly targeting our own coaches and potential Level 1 coaches who are likely to start the course this autumn. Andy Cramb will be leading the first workshop.
