Annual Inclusion Shoot
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped assemble the range at Leisure@ Recreation Centre ready for todays competition.
This event would just not be financially viable without the support of :
‘The Worshipful Company of Fletchers’
So a big thank you to them! This event is not just about the day’s competition, it is a great way of showcasing how inclusive archery can be and following last years event and subsequent publicity our Inclusion Club grew in size and many of our after-school clubs saw an increase in participation of those with a range of disabilities.
We also need to thank Wales Archery for providing the target faces and Tenzone for their excellent service in providing the bosses.
With so many things happening in the Club and so much to do to develop our new ground we are trying to streamline administration and costs, so for this and future events we will not award trophies to take away, winners will receive a trophy in front of our ‘Backdrop’ and have their photo taken being presented with the trophy and medal (which they can keep!).
Primary School Games Participation hits Incredible Heights!
The 2015 Primary School Games will pass all expectations and will build on last years highly successful programme but nobody anticipated it would be on such a scale.
Level 2 District Finals will comprise of:
Gloucester – 8 Schools
Forest of Dean 16 Schools
Stroud 16 Schools
Cotswolds 16 Schools
Cheltenham 16+ Schools
This level of interest bodes well for longer term participation in our sport, what we now need is more local clubs in Gloucestershire!
