3 selected to represent England at the National Indoor Weekend!

Well done to Ryan Faulkner for being selected to represent England Juniors at the National indoor championships taking place in early December at Stoneleigh.

Also to Sophia Boulton for being selected as reserve and to Grace Chappell for being selected as reserve for the England Senior Team! 

We a thrilled that 15 of our juniors are competing at this years British Junior Championships! The week before we are hosting the Gloucestershire Junior Championships, where despite running 3 sessions, the tournament is fully booked and many more of our juniors will be taking part in that event. 

Winter Field League started this weekend.

Great excitement that our Winter League started this weekend with events running two or three times a month during the winter season. A different course for each event comprising six 3D targets and  six WA Faces, with a mixture of marked and unmarked. This is an open event, suitable for all abilities, everyone is welcome. Please book in online.

This Saturday morning saw our biggest number of entries so far and the entry numbers are expected to grow, although places are limited to 48.

Whatever-the-weather Programme returns!

Following the success of last winters programme the event returns, with the first competition planned for later this month and  a record competitor number   In summary this is an invitation only event targeting performance archers of any bow type or those demonstrating that level of potential.

It is a handicap event offering a range of head to head, qualification events etc that takes place in a league structure and runs ‘whatever the weather’ outdoors and throughout the winter! The top 3 positions winning cash prizes.

Junior Only Weekly sessions switch to Floodlit Fridays.

Following the success of the summer/Autumn programme,  Friday saw 2 sessions each offering 16 places launch the winter series. We will continue to have at least 7 or 8 coaches at each session.

Indoor Progress Awards have started.

Primarily Portsmouth Target face based, available to all levels, see what level can be achieved. Scores from this activity and other events will form the basis for selecting the teams for the end of indoor season Team Challenge.

Senior rankings announced and some great achievements! Well done to Ella ranked 1,  Kevin ranked 5, Chloe ranked 10, Grace 12 and Kieran who also finished in the top 50 at 47.

Annual UKRS Inclusion Shoot 6th Feb 2022

Friday evening ‘Drop in’ Equipment Centre introduced!

Coinciding with some of the Friday evening junior only floodlit sessions, members will now be able to ‘drop in’ to the Clubhouse for advice/support etc on equipment issues, from strings to arrows, tuning to set up.
