We are sad to report that sometime between 10:30pm and 7:30am on Tuesday night 3 of our buildings were broken into and a further 2 damaged in attempts to do so.
In total 5 doors were seriously damaged, inside every cabinet, cupboard and sets of draws were wrecked to gain entry. Also 6 security lights smashed.
The perpetrators then saw fit to empty all the contents around the building in a mindless activity, steal 3 priceless trophies yet worthless outside of the club, take 3 Club red coach tops, a club hoodie and a roving microphone set.
As a club that spends so much of its time working in and with our community, it is a shame that a few want to spoil it, well many of our members are very upset and dismayed but it actually confirms that more needs to be done if things are going to change for the better!
So within minutes of discovering this sad situation, there was a tide of support, many offers of help and a coming together of members. A note went out confirming it would be practice as usual that evening, a great turn out and more offers of support!
So we will put things right, despite already considerable investment we will improve our security further and continue to improve the experiences we offer at an affordable cost for everyone.
