Appointments

We are pleased to announce that Peter Langdon is appointed to the position of Vice-Chairman and will support Steve Howse in carrying out the role as we enter a new phase of the Club’s development. Peter brings a wealth of business experience to the committee and as an existing member is familiar with the culture and ambitions of the Club!

Allison Pine is appointed Inclusion Officer and succeeds Dave Sandles in this role. We would like to thank Dave for his contribution where he played key roles in the delivery of our first Inclusion shoot, the establishment of our Inclusion Club and delivery of many elements of the grants we received. Dave, who is a coach on the Invictus Games Archery Programme will continue as a member of the Archery GB Disability Committee, and help provide coaching support at club and community practice sessions.

Both appointments are Committee positions.

Great local press coverage!

Over the last couple of weeks the club & its members have had excellent coverage (3 articles!) in the local papers focusing on both individual achievement & community work. This is an excellent way of advertising our sport and as a result we have had a flurry of individuals contacting us to do have-a-goes and beginners courses! Why not visit the Gloucestershire Echo Website to view them or better still buy regular copies of the paper!

Two more confirmed big community events!

We will be running an archery session on the Kingsholm pitch for the players & staff of Gloucester Rugby Club on the 24th August.
