A World Archery Youth Championship Medal from an all Deer Park Team!

Well done to James & Lucy at the World Youth Championships in the USA!

James & Lucy finished 7th & 13th respectively in the individual qualification round and were the top GB Team individual finishers! They were then selected to represent GB in the mixed doubles and were ranked 4th!

In the quarter finals they beat Estonia 146/136. They then lost the Semi-final to Mexico the eventual winners 130/142.

However the great news is that they defeated South Africa, the Number 3 seeds by 139/128 to secure the Bronze Medal!

Tewkesbury Borough Council approve bosses proposal.

Until now planning constraints have meant that bosses had to be packed away every evening but we can now leave them out as long as they are covered.

Grants

We have completed our application for an Inspired Facilities Grant for £75,000 to support Phase 4 of our project which seeks to install a 90ft covered shooting area, fit for purpose storage, water, electricity and a toilet block. We have a long wait to see if we have been successful, in the mean time we will continue to work on other elements of our project and of course fund raise!

Earlier this month we officially became an Environmental Body and on the 5th June we received official notification from ENTRUST that our Project ‘An accessible field for everyone’ has been approved. This is a significant step forward for the development of our ground.

Official Opening of Deer Park

Invitations to our official opening are being sent out for our official opening which is planned for Sunday 12th July 2015. We hope all members and their families will be able to attend. There will be a team handicap competition during the day.
