Another great night at the Annual Gloucestershire Media Awards!

We were again well represented at this event with finalists in 4 different categories, Best Junior Team (Our Compound Team), Disability Sports Performer of the Year (Phoebe Pine), Young Sports Personality of the Year (Tom Howse) & Coach of the Year (Dave Sandles).

Our congratulations go to all of them, just getting to the finals is amazing as the standards in Gloucestershire are so high!

Tom Howse landed the Young Sports Personality of the Year and received the Award from Sir Geoff Hurst MBE.

The good news did not stop there as our table of 12 (10 Deer Park) which luckily included 2 very knowledgeable players from the rugby world won the evening quiz and received 2 bottles of champagne and a free round of drinks to finish off another special evening!

We need to record our congratulations to all the winners and finalists and our thanks to the Gloucestershire Media Group for organizing such a great event!

James & Lucy selected for the GB Compound Elite Squad!

We are delighted to confirm that James Howse (Age 15) & Lucy Mason (Age 14) have been selected for the Great Britain Elite Squad which comprises of just 9 men and 9 women and includes world ranked adults such as Duncan Busby, Chris White, Adam Ravenscroft, Andrea Gales, Nichola Simpson and Naomi Jones!

This selection to the Elite Squad recognizes their fantastic progress and dedication and is a great compliment to our club and coaches and also to their very supportive parents!

Three Record Status Indoor Competitions organized by the Club!

Social Events

 Club Annual Awards Evening – Friday 28th November – Wall’s Club

 Our biggest venue to date, advance ticket sales pass the 100 mark! In addition to the awards there will be a buffet, a music recital from one of our members, a round of Bingo and a raffle. All for just £3 per head!

Two excellent presentations have been completed capturing our many club and individual achievements through 2014 and trust me it is an impressive list!

 This will take place on Friday 19th December, cost £2 per head. Organised by our Junior Committee.

Satellite Clubs Formed

 We are pleased to announce the formation of 3 Satellite Clubs at Balcarras School, High School for Girls (Denmark Road) and GL1 (Gloucester Recreation Centre).  The 3 clubs will engage around 70 juniors and GL1 will also have about 10 – 15 adults also participating!
