Introduction
We are the proud owners of our own field course and thanks to the generosity of a neighbouring farmer we are able to host large tournaments, which provide a range of challenging terrains and lovely scenery!
Our course is available all year round for practice sessions and we welcome ArcheryGB guests. We run an annual winter league programme as well as organising 1 and 2 day tournaments. We hire out the facility for external club introduction to field archery sessions (can provide coach support if required). We also run internal competitions and junior only coaching sessions.
Maintenance and Development
This facility provides us with many opportunities to support our Environmental Sustainability Policy with many of our projects taking place across the field course and meadow areas of our land. The course is primarily maintained by our Men-in-Sheds Groups, volunteer groups with the layout changing every few weeks providing 12 – 24 targets, using a mixture of 3D, 2D photos of 3D’s and FITAField Faces.
