Great news that Christine our CASC Officer has been informed that we are now officially a CASC (Community Amateur Sports club) with effect from the 23rd August 2013.
This is another important step in our efforts to buy our own ground and will help in a number of ways. In the short term all monies donated by tax paying members, that have signed the appropriate paperwork, will allow the Club to receive 25% extra on qualifying amounts donated!
Can we take the opportunity to thank Christine for her efforts to achieve this goal and again thank all those members who have so generously supported our campaign to raise the funds to purchase our new ground.
Many of our efforts to raise funds have been great fun and will continue to be as we push on to achieve our aims.
As illustrated below, what we have achieved financially has been truly amazing and yet the biggest benefit has been to the team spirit and close bonds created between our members. This approach has made our efforts feel much more like having a good time than working hard and we will do our best to ensure we are as at least as active in 2014.
Update on our Fundraising Efforts
We continue to grow our fundraising efforts and the figure has now passed the £25,000 mark!
In the given timescales this is a colossal effort and must rank to be at least as impressive as our achievements at the British Indoor Championships!
Great support and coverage from the local press!
Following the ‘front page’ headlines in the Echo, we have had some useful contact from people/organizations that want to support our efforts to find a new home, so thank you to the Echo!
Also some excellent coverage over the last week in the Wiltshire & Gloucestershire standard, some good ‘back page’ photos and some great coverage of the Club’s achievements!

Second Level 1 Coaching Course starts Sunday 15th December
We have a second Level 1 Coaching Course starting this weekend and it will have a number of our Juniors participating on the course. We now have 2 programmes running in parallel, with Cleve Archers running another course in the new year, it is a great demonstration of the popularity of archery in Gloucestershire!
Beginners Courses
Our current beginners courses which are fast approaching completion of the second 6 week ‘Improvers’ Programme will see a whole traunch of new members shooting at club sessions in the New Year.
The next beginners courses are filling up nicely, a few places left for the programmes that will start late January.
