Competition holds the key!
A week ago we advertised a Club target day at Balcarras to add to our fundraising projects and give members their first chance of the new indoor season to complete a competition and it was a great success! More than 70 archers and volunteers delivered refreshments, raffle and great competition enjoyed by everyone. 8 County Records, numerous personal bests and £250 raised for the ‘New Land’ Fund. The Club’s diversity of bow types was very evident with an almost equal number of Compounds, Recurves and Barebow/Longbows. The strength of our compounds was demonstrated with 10 archers recording scores over 560 with an average age of just 25.
Full results will be on the website by end of Tuesday, this and other data will be used to arrange some handicap competitions and form the club monthly leagues.
