We are just months away from adding a clubhouse to our fantastic facilities, it will be the fruits of lots of grant applications and many fundraising activities, we need one last push to meet our target and begin to furnish it.
We have gained support from over 30 local business who have donated prizes for the raffle and we would like to thank them all! This is a real community effort.

Introducing the Muntjac Scoring System
We would like to share our very much enjoyed Longbow round which has brought a real buzz to those competing in it!
Introducing the Muntjac Round, we have applied this to a round of 3 dozen at 60 and 3 dozen at 50 using the following scoring system:
Gold = 2 points
Red = 1 point
Blue/Black/White = Zero
Petticoat (on paper but not scoring) = -1 point
Miss off face = – 2 points.
For those more adventurous we also have the Roe Round (80/60) and the Fallow Round (100/80).
It offers a fair score outcome recognising good as well as not so good shots and keeping the final result equally in the Archers and opponents control!
We have found that the relative archer scores can change very quickly especially with the inevitable banter that goes on and the runnings scores being displayed to everyone. Finishing on a positive score is good, especially at the longer distances, why not try it!
The reality is that the scoring system could be used for any combination of distances but this works for us!
Any feedback on improvements or how it works for you would be good!
Katy registers her first 6 gold end!
Well done to Katy Reece for recording a 6 Gold end at the club target day on Bank Holiday Monday!
Ontarget Finals Day
Good luck to our team of Captain Symon, Ed, Grace and Molly this Sunday at Lilleshall.
Charlotte passes her tractor driving test!
If you shoot at our field this weekend please admire the straight lines and close cut. Charlotte has another new skill and she has signed up to cut for the next few weeks before she goes off to University.
