It was very quiet at practice sessions over the last weekend with many members competing at local events taking place on both the Saturday & Sunday at Evesham, Cheltenham and Black & Gold resulting in many excellent performances, numerous county records and personal bests.
Unfortunately I do not have all the reports in at the time of writing however from what we do know from a blustery Black & Gold, there were winners medals for Lynn, Robbie, Charlotte, JB, Nicole & Holly Clifford. In addition there were runners up medals for John, Christine, Peter, Andy W, Josh & Harry. Outstanding performance was Holly Clifford, shooting compound, returning to competition after some time and recording an incredible 1257.
Only had 2 reports so far from Evesham where both Hamish and Kevin broke a number of County Records, both shooting Barebow and winning their competitions!
Not forgetting that James & Lucy are in Slovenia preparing to represent GB in the European Youth Outdoor Championships later today!
County Friendly sees victory over Worcestershire!
Well done to Gloucestershire for winning the County Friendly! We had 10 members in the Team who all did well on a very cold, windy day in the Forest of Dean. Top scoring compound for Gloucestershire was James Howse with 1280, top scoring recurve was Anna Langdon with 1136 & top scoring longbow was Lynn with 304!

Lots of great stories to tell in the qualifying rounds but we will keep those to later!
In addition to the 6 School Teams there are a total of 24 individuals from 19 schools that have also qualified!
Primary School Games Level 2 Rounds
Are in full swing and qualifiers for the Level 3 will be sorted by the end of this week.
Community Events
The NHS Big Health Day was a tremendous success with a total of 389 in attendance. The theme was ‘Keeping Healthy’ and was targeted at both children & adults with learning difficulties.
The annual Highland games at Sapperton were also well attended and was supported by club volunteers to promote our sport.
Club looking for feedback from its members
We are currently working with Archery GB conducting a ‘Club Views’ survey and have asked members to fill out the online survey over the next week. This information will help the club to identify strengths and weaknesses and identify areas for development.
Bambies Programme continues to evolve!
The Bambies section continues to evolve and we are developing some excellent resources to support the ongoing activities, we will share the resources with Archery GB to encourage other clubs to start Bambies Sections.
Dave Sandles
Our congratulations go to Dave Sandles our Inclusion Officer and a club coach who has been asked to help with coaching to help prepare our wounded warriors for the Invictus Games. Dave’s first session will be at Stoke Mandeville and we are sure he will be a great asset to the coaching team!
