Lucy at The Hampshire Archery Association Weekend
Lucy shot on Saturday in the Hampshire Archery Association weekend in Eastleigh (Nr Southampton). The day consisted of a FITA 18 ranking round in the morning, and H2H’s in the afternoon.
She put in a solid score of 568 in the morning, ranking her No1.
She had aspirations of breaking the world record in the H2H’s, which currently stands at 145 out of 150.
Her ranking gave her a by into the semi final, which she eased through with a score of 143 to 136. She then came up against the 2nd ranked archer from Guernsey shooting a score of 142 to 136 to win gold.
No world record this time, but a successful day all the same.
Field Course on Target
Progress is being made on our field course but there is a lot of work to do over the next few weeks if we are to start using the course by mid March. We are hoping to get a lot done during half term week.
Outline shows Core targets, bunny (shorter targets) and unmarked targets to be added, it will be challenging but a lot of work will go in to clearing overshoot so no lost arrows!
Longbow & Barebow setup and tuning workshop

European Youth Cup in Klagenfurt – Austria
Congratulations to James Howse & Lucy Mason for being selected to compete at this competition in May.
Danage Bosses
We are now all Danage at GL1, which is a great achievement, this will eliminate the straw residue left to clean up after club practice sessions.
