Nimes Indoor World Cup Stage 3 Report

We had 5 Archers in effect representing GB and Deer Park in this prestigious tournament, all achieved some excellent milestones and performed well.

In the Ladies recurve Sarah Bettles finished 10th in qualification with 572 and then shot some amazing H2H rounds to finish 8th.

In the Junior (U21) Ladies Compound, Lucy Mason finished 4th in qualification with 580 just a single point ahead of Ella Gibson recording a personal best, finishing 5th and Grace Chappell also recorded a PB finishing on 556 and 27th in qualification.
Phoebe Pine finishing on 562 in 65th position in the adult compound.

Both Lucy and Ella advanced to the elimination stage and came through the round of 16 but then faced each other in the quarters where Lucy recorded an amazing score of 148/150 beating the cadet world record and registering another British Record. Lucy then progressed to the final where she met in form Elisa Roner. In a fantastic final the score was tied after the 15 arrows, so it went to a single arrow shoot off, both shot 10’s but Lucy was further from the centre.
