Guest Coach – Michael Peart
We are pleased to announce that former World No 1 Recurve and Compound ranked archer and former very successful Paralympic Coach Michael Peart will be running coaching workshops from 11am to 6:30pm this Sunday!
Michael will be working with a number of adult and junior archers and their coaches against a set of agreed objectives. This programme has been fully funded from the club’s coaching budget and it is a great opportunity to support 20 of our archers and 10 of our coaches.

Level 1 Coaching Assessments will also be taking place all day, so part of the range will not be available, neither will the clubhouse as that will be used for interviews by the assessors. Good luck to all our members taking the assessments!
Cancer UK Cake Bake and sell Event Saturday
Grace Chappell is organising a cake bake sale.
All the money raised will be given to Cancer Research UK. The activities will be small and simple but hopefully will raise some money. Lynn is also going to do a food multi choice quiz!

4pm-5pm: Cake entries from members
5pm-5:30pm: judging and ‘star baker’ named
5:30pm onwards: bakes are on sale!
Fantastic Friday!
Last Friday evening was a terrific success, thank you to all those that helped organise and to those that attended.
The first Junior Only evening took place, despite many away on holidays and tournaments, more than 30 were involved and some new faces who have graduated off recently completed beginners courses. Lots of coaching, refreshments and an Easter Egg hunt all went down well (as did the chocolate)!

Field Captains Workshops
A number have run and 17 people have now completed the workshop, the turn out on Friday evening was amazing.
What it highlighted was that we need to do a lot more to promote and appreciate this important role, so over the coming weeks the newsletter will include extracts from the workshop. In addition to the obvious responsibilities the field captains will also support our drive to develop our archers, parents and coaches desired behaviours.
European Selection Shoots – 7th April
We are pleased to highlight that 7 of our members were invited to the selection shoot, having fulfilled the selection criteria. We await the outcome, all did well, however a number are not available for the first event due to exam commitments. We hope we can announce some good outcomes in the near future.
Round Table Annual Swimarathon this Saturday
We have 2 teams of sponsored swimmers entered raising funds for the Round Table and ourselves! We are hoping to beat previous records both in and out of the pool! The portion we raise for ourselves is ring fenced and supports coach development activities.
