Well done on a great achievement to qualify for the prestigious National Series Finals taking place this weekend at Eastside City Park, Birmingham and good luck in those finals! Six hard fought stages have boiled down to just 8 archers in 4 categories, men and Ladies Recurves and Compounds with a head-to-head format to decide Britain’s best!.
Lucy Mason is hoping to repeat last year’s success but as last year faces some top opposition, this will also be good training for her forthcoming trips to the Junior and Senior World Championships.
Sarah Bettles, who actually joins the club from October 1st also faces a very tough challenge and again will be part of the GB team competing in the Senior World Championships in Mexico later this month. Good luck Sarah!
GL1 Recreation Centre – Certificate Launch
We are pleased to announce that criteria have been finalised for the GL1 Archery Progress Award Programme, along with jointly design certificates. We will also be launching a similar system for the ‘Arrows’ adapted kit programme!
Club Record Status Portsmouth is full!
This Sundays ‘Early Portsmouth’ which in truth was a bit of a gamble is fully booked! We literally start the indoor season on the Saturday so many seasons best this weekend!
Another thank you to the Worshipful Company of Fletchers!
We have just been informed that the Worshipful Company of Fletchers, one of the oldest of the City of London’s Livery Companies is again supporting next Years Annual Record Status WA18 Inclusion Shoot. This is a flag ship event which continues to grow but which would just not be possible in its current format without that support. Last year’s event also saw our first World Record as well as a record number of entries.
