Great Day at the Inclusion FITA18 Event

We are very pleased to report another well attended event that ran smoothly at a superb venue, with some excellent performances and great feedback.

Firstly thank you to our main sponsors ‘The Worshipful Company of Fletchers’, without whom this event would not have been viable and it was great that the Chairman of their Charity Committee, Mr Chris Brown was able to attend the event.

The full results will be issued shortly but there were wins in the Para Sections for Steve Prowse (VI), Andy Philips (W1 & Invictus), Dave Sandles (Open and BWAA) and Jo Frith.

Lucy Mason recorded 574 in the U18 Compound and Tom Howse the Gents recurve with the same score. Highest score of the day went to Adam Shaw from Cleve Archers in the Gents Compound.

Most improved performance of the day was that of Will Gore recording 481 in the boys recurve and likewise Chloe Tucker in the Girls Recurve with 473.

There was again a good number of entries in the longbow section.

In summary it was an excellent day, however the fact remains that not enough Clubs are getting involved in Inclusive archery and the vast majority of shoots totally fail to include categories that would recognise the full range of abilities that would like to compete.
