Our team comprising Ed Humphries, Simon Faulkner, Molly Peters and Grace Chappell won by the margin of 14-7 away to last years beaten finalists Minchinhampton. We now progress into the last 8 of this national competition where we have been drawn away to Burnham Company of Archers to determine who goes to the finals at Lilleshall. Thank you to our hosts Minchinhampton who ensured we were well looked after.

Thank you to Rob Haines for the fantastic footage of our Ground. It shows how fortunate we are with such great facilities! Interestingly the diagonal lines are where our drainage has been installed. European Youth Championships – Patras Greece
Fantastic news! Both the ladies Compound teams have reached the European finals, Lucy and Ella together with Isabelle Carpenter have not only reached the final, having been ranked 1, which will take place later this week against Turkish opposition but have recorded a new European Junior Team record by 9 points.

Meanwhile Holly Clifford is part of the Cadet team that have also reached the final, so it will see all 3 of our Archers return with European Championship medals!
In the individual competition all did well and Holly, making her first appearance for GB recorded a qualification score just a single point off her PB!
Final positions were Lucy 5th, Holly and Ella both 9th.
Clubhouse Update
Most of the funding applications have been decided, options fully costed and next weeks’ Management Committee Meeting will make a final decision. Our fundraising efforts have been once again truly amazing, and this has given us far more scope in deciding our final design specification and what we can afford in this phase of our development.
Inevitably there will be some disruption during construction which is likely to take place September/October.

Senior Only National Competition
Last week end saw our first Senior Only Competition and it was a great success, the cream tea was a bonus! Also congratulations to John Dalton who broke a long standing county record by a big margin shooting 80/60 yds.
