Rachel Lucas does it again!
Last Sunday saw the annual British Indoor Barebow Championships held in venues across the UK, this Saturday will see the second part of the British Indoor Championships taking place at the National Agricultural & Exhibition Centre at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. To launch this important week, our very own Rachel Lucas got proceedings off to a great start by winning the Girls under 16 & 18 title with a creditable score of 473 on a FITA18.
Rachel who has picked up a string of National Records, National , Regional and County titles during 2015 was even disappointed with her score and is working on a develop plan to take her even further!

As well as competing Rachel also gives time to help coach at the Balcarras after-school club each week where we run a thriving satellite club. We have a string of junior and senior barebow archers and Rachel, who won the Club Best Barebow Archer at the Club Annual Awards is setting a standard for all to follow.
We have more than 20 archers competing at the British Championships this weekend at both Junior and Senior Level and we wish them all of the best. Holly Clifford will also be representing England at the event in a competition between the home countries.
This is a very inexperienced squad, that said 2 of our juniors are competing as seniors and with the ability they have they may surprise a few!
Club Christmas League
As part of our drive to encourage competition we have just launched our Christmas League, where archers grouped on a handicap basis will compete in leagues using a round-robin head to head format. This will operate between 19th December and 11th January and as we shoot every day over the Christmas holidays (including Christmas day) there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the thrill of competing!
