The Tender Process is completed!
Our Sport England Senior Grants Manager confirmed that the Tender Report Form and associated successful and unsuccessful tender copies gave sufficient evidence that we had followed the required tender process to demonstrate that we have achieved value for money and confirm that works can begin.
Subject to final contract PDM (UK) Limited will be carrying out the work for our covered shooting area and containers, toilets, installation of water and electric etc. and this phase will be completed by the end of March 2016. We would like to thank all of the contractors that bid for the work and thank them for their support and ideas.
Club Raffle & Christmas Shoot
Our recent successes with grant applications has certainly not deflected us from fundraising through our own efforts and this Saturday will see the conclusion of a major effort with the draw being made for our raffle which has seen months of approaching local businesses for support and members selling raffle tickets. The value of prizes is just over £1,200 so a big thank you to our local businesses for their support!
A list of winners will be posted after the draw, which will take place during our Christmas Fun Shoot at Balcarras.
Christmas League
This will also be launched at the fun shoot, there are round-robin leagues for all 4 bow types and up to date tables will be maintained on the website.
Club Junior Coaching Session
Next junior specific coaching session will be at Balcarras on the 10th Jan 1-4pm.

Satellite Clubs- End of Year Update.
All 3 have had a very successful year, Balcarras finished the year with 65 participants, High School for Girls 35 and GL1 with 20. The target ages were met big-time at Balcarras and HSG however to some extent due to the success of ‘Arrows Sessions’ run by GL1 the age related targets will be missed, having established a much younger population. Putting a positive swing on this outcome, it means we are already responding to the Governments new sports strategy for an Active Nation! See Archery GB website.
Congratulations!
We would like to congratulate Adrian Gifkins, Chairman of Cheltenham Archers and Judge for becoming a Regional Judge earlier this week. Adrian has been a great supporter of our own record status competitions and in particular the various county junior championship events. Well done Adrian it is much deserved!
