Phoebe Pine
Phoebe representing GB was so close to a major upset in the European Para Championships in France this week. Having beaten Pavuk Natallia from the Ukraine 130 -124 she came up against Arti Eleonora the Italian World Ranked Number 1 and was 6 points ahead after 3 of the 5 ends but recorded a miss to eventually lose by 8 points. Phoebe has done us proud and this will be valuable experience and put her in good stead for the future.
James Howse
James Howse (16) has been picked to represent the GB Senior Team in Round 1 of the World Cup in Shanghai starting later this month and running into May. This reflects the ever-increasing standards James is setting.

James Howse – Top form at the World Junior Tournament and hoping to repeat it at the Senior World Cup!
Swimarathon
As previously reported our fundraising team did extremely well, finishing 7th out of 53 teams for money raised and joint 12th on distance swam, not bad as many of the teams were representing swimming clubs and we had a 20 months old swimmer!
Our new ground to host a number of record status tournaments in 2016
Our first record status event will be in May when we host the County match against Worcestershire and this will be followed by the County Senior and then Junior Championships. We will also be running a World Archery 1440 and Metrics Tournament as well as an American Record Status Round for longbows/barebows and in the Autumn we are resurrecting the County Field Championships.
