National Series Success for Lucy and Sarah!

Well done to both who shot really well and they are both running in to good form for the forthcoming World Championships.

Lucy Mason - another podium finish.

Lucy Mason – another podium finish.

This is the Archery GB Blue Ribbon event, so even qualifying is a fantastic achievement to win Bronze is special.

Sarah impressive performances.

Sarah impressive performances.

The only disappointment was the poor quality of the information/video feeds from the event, poor is probably being kind. Another missed opportunity!

Indoor Season begins with a bang!

Our indoor season off to a cracking start, our Thursday HSFG and Friday Balcarras Satellite Clubs had record attendances, 74 at Balcarras with 30 year 7’s was a little challenging! Also on the Friday evening another full beginners course and a fully attended improvers programme.
We are still using the outdoor venue, a couple of corporate events during the day followed by practice sessions on the Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
The first Balcarras Indoor session was also on the Saturday evening was well attended by Archers and coaches.

Sunday saw our early Record Status Portsmouth, fully booked and some great scores for juniors to gain their qualification scores for national selection, so there were many archers from outside of the county. Full report shortly.

Congratulations to Cheltenham Archers.

Well done to Cheltenham Archers who have secured great indoor facilities (  http://www.cheltenhamarchers.com/news/indoor-venue/  ), with Cleve developing their own ground and many other local clubs improving theirs, Gloucestershire and archery will continue to grow, providing more pathways for all of the interest being generated by the school games and the numerous successes of many of our local archers!
