New Ground – First Container Arrives

We needed to get a 40ft container in place to be able to store new fencing materials and old bosses from Old Pats. We are pleased to announce that it has been delivered and has been placed in a temporary position. The grass has been reduced in length thanks to a final cut by the previous owner. We can now organise the installation of the stock fencing and apply to the Council to plant our hedging.

Once the piling has been installed this container and a further 40 ft container will be lifted into their permanent positions and wood clad and become part of a 90ft long covered shooting area with a cantilevered roof.

There will be a busy few weeks now, working with our architect and partners, planning and costing each phase of the project to ensure we can work out how to best achieve it but at the same time ensuring we continue to look after the needs of our members and the work we are doing in the community.

The coaches have been busy voting for the various awards made to junior and senior members for each bow type at experienced and novice levels. This includes a couple of new awards to recognise performances at International Level!

This year all of those shortlisted will be informed prior to the event to add to the excitement. As well as the usual fun activities prior to the awards we are pleased to announce that one of our members, Izzy Henry will be giving a short music recital to add a touch of class to the proceedings!
