On the evening of our club annual awards, celebrating another year of great individual and club achievements, Steve Howse our Chair Person had just finished his welcoming address as news came through that Ella Gibson had done something special!
Ella Gibson – World Senior Record.
So with our 2019 Achievements video about to run, proceedings were interrupted, whilst shooting in the Indoor World Series in Luxembourg Ella had recorded 596 on a WA 18, 5 British, European and senior World Records! A big round of applause for an amazing achievement, well done Ella!

Emily Summers Junior Club Person of the Year.
In addition to the various beginner, intermediate and performance awards for all bow types and disciplines our fantastic volunteers were recognised for their dedicated contributions to growing our club and improving the experience we offer.
Peter Sisson – Club Person of the Year.
Our Junior ClubPerson of the Year was Emily Summers, with Peter Sisson deservedly being recognised as the Senior Club Person of the Year. The great news is that both awards were hotly contested with so many willing volunteers!
Likewise 13 club volunteer teams contested the Team of the Year Award, worth mentioning all of them as without each and every one of them we would not be meeting our objectives: GL1 Team (winners), Tournaments Team, Management Team, Social Team, Catering Team, Coaching Team, Directors Team, Men-in Sheds Team, Safeguarding Team, Community Have-a-Go Team, School Games Team, Target Field Crew, Field Archery Crew.

Another great evening, but no time to dwell, Mini Field League this morning, also phase 2 build of our Tournament Control Centre started. This afternoon a Coach Field Training Workshop will take place, club practice this evening and tomorrow we are running the County Junior Championships, which has been fully subscribed for some weeks!
