Club Target Day – Nationals & Westerns

Our biggest Club Target Day attendance, using our new online booking system and 14 County Records and a great time enjoyed by everyone! Add this to 10 members trying their first competition and an excellent fundraising event and it is another important step in the Club’s development.

On the morning of the event we had hosted our usual open community shoot, there was a beginners course running in parallel with the shoot and a well attended practice session on the Saturday evening. Babies was also running at a different venue at the same time.

And it was not just County Records that were beaten!

For reasons unknown attendances at our weekly practice sessions broke new records this week and that is before taking in to account attendances later today (although it is chucking it down at the moment!).

We also had our highest attendance at our Saturday morning Open Community Session, sponsored by Gloucestershire County Council Active Together Programme and this is a trend that seems set to continue, with increases week after week.

Bambies Club on the Saturday afternoon also saw high attendance!

Ground Wind Socks ready to be installed!

Thanks to Trudie for making the wind socks which will be used at our new ground.

Stroud Generation Games at Stratford Park

Last Sunday saw the annual Generation Games event, where teams of 25 from ages 5 -75 compete in a series of different sports across the day, we had the challenge of training and recording scores every 45mins throughout the day. A great team of club volunteers supported the event was was an undoubted success and a great way to promote archery!

Today we are at a Council Sponsored all day event at Robbinswood Hill Country Park with Xperience Archery and another team of volunteers giving the public in Gloucester another chance to try our great sport.
