School Games County finals will be challenging!

The County School Games finals will take place over the next 2 days at Hartpury, with 6 Secondary (Teams of 12) and 10 Primary Schools (Teams of 9) competing for medals and the County Title, however it is likely that it will not just be the opponents that provide the challenge. The weather forecast for both days is very unsettled, so success will be an all round challenge, not just for the archers but the teachers and organisers.

These 2016 finals will bring the most competitive games so far to a conclusion, with many more schools engaged and increasing standards and with all year groups allowed, changing teams as unavailability due to exams will play a part.

Ground Developments

We have compiled a short video to capture some of the construction work and it can be found here:

Beginners Courses

We have just started 3 beginners courses with 40 participants of all ages, the course is run on our behalf by Xperience archery supported by several of our coaches. At just £35 for the 6 sessions with excellent coaching and equipment the programme is a bargain. There are further programmes planned over the summer holiday period as the waiting list is growing!

There will also be a number of Summer Camps, for all ages, taking place at the ground and run by Xperience Archery.

GL1 Satellite Club

Thanks to Martin Tucker and the supporting Club Coaches for starting the ‘GL1 Progress Award’ Programme which uses an Ipod based system to record scores and assess technique and knowledge to award appropriate grades.
