In just over a weeks time they both fly out to the USA to represent GB in the World Youth Games.

Phoebe Pine has also returned from representing GB in the Dutch Para Archery Tournament. This was Phoebe’s first big competition and she finished a creditable 7th.

The day after her return Phoebe was helping coach at the Foxcote Frolic, an event supported by the Club in conjunction with WheelPower and the Countryside Alliance.

There were 8 volunteer coaches from the Club supporting the event, Dave Sandles was one of them and the following day he was off to Stoke Mandaville to support the coaching programme for the next Invictus Games.

Club Coaching Volunteers flat out to support Gloucestershire School Games

The Level 2 District School Games finals are coming thick and fast and the partnership between Xperience Archery and Deer Park is being stretched to the limit. We are victims of our own success with record levels of entries, particularly in the Primary School Games.

So many schools entered, having to hold 2 District finals in most areas. This is Cotswolds North.

The standards have rocketed and the 10 Primary Schools that get to the County Finals should provide a great competition, likewise with the Secondary Schools competition which is limited to 6 schools to accommodate individual entries.

First Club Target Day at new ground

Last week we decided to organise Warwick Rounds for the Bank Holiday Monday, lots of members away or doing other things but we still had a good attendance, some ok scores and 4 County Records. Well done to Will Gore, Roger, Mike Dalton and Lucy Mason. It was great that Lucy entered less than 24 hours after she got back from the European Youth Cup in Austria.
