26th December – Top entry to Club Target Shoot!
37 members completed a Portsmouth Round under full competition conditions, and once again a number of new members were competing in their first competition!
Many smiling faces and almost as many frustrated ones as blowing away the cobwebs after Christmas proved a little more challenging!
Members love competing!
Well done to Andy, Caroline, Riley and Adrian shooting in his first competition in the recurve group, Dave and also Charlie Brown shooting in his first competition in the Barebow group.
Good experience and another competition on the 1st January.

The next club target day is planned to start late morning of the 1st January and will be a chance to record a good score for the Archery GB January Challenge!
Landscaping New Land
Attendees were reminded at the shoot of the opportunity to sponsor the planting of a mature tree and that they needed to be confirmed in the next couple of weeks. Great news there were 12 offers of sponsorship from Oak to Crab Apple and Cherry! We also need some more bird and bat boxes!
Sunday afternoon saw the completion of all the fence posts around the perimeter of the land, work on installing the supporting elements to the strainer posts will start today.
New ‘A’ Frame Stands Completed
12 new full size ‘A’ frame stands and a further 12 short ‘A’ frames to support the expanded 2015 Primary and Secondary school games finals and have-a-go events were also completed over the weekend and delivered to Balcarras and the new ground.
