World Championships Dream Land!

Who would have believed we would have 3 archers representing GB in the Junior World Championships in Argentina and that all 3 would be guaranteed at least silver medals on finals day? Well now we do!

Phoebe Pine was the first to reach a final with the Junior Ladies Compound Team.

James Howse then became the second to reach a final in the mixed pairs compound team.

And yesterday evening Lucy Mason qualified for the individual Cadet Ladies Final!

Phoebe will shoot for the junior compound team title with Isabelle Carpenter and the inform Sarah Moon.

James Howse and Sarah Moon blazed through to the mixed team gold medal match against Jesse Clayton and Alexis Ruiz of the USA after demolishing Russia 152-146 and Denmark 152-147.

Lucy Mason will also be shooting for gold. The fifth seed dominated the compound cadet competition, beating Australia’s Niamh Jones, 137-124, Buse Basak Haney of Turkey 133-131, India’s Sanchita Tiwari 137-131 and Mexican top seed Andrea M Becerra Arizaga 136-133.

She now faces Alexandra Paquette of Canada in a clash for the World Title to add to her European one!
