Another shared celebration of our successes in 2023
A fabulous evening, immaculately organised, recognising just some of our amazing achievements in the past 12 months!
Our ChairPerson Steve Howse began proceedings giving a quick overview of key achievements, announcing our commitment to our ‘Extension’ Project and to our continuing commitment to our Green Policies.
Steve also announced that after more than 10 years in post he was stepping down in readiness for his imminent retirement from work. He introduced his successor Andy Champness who had been Vice-ChairPerson for some time.
Steve was presented with a trophy by Eva and Oscar as a small token of our gratitude for the leadership and support he has provided over such a long period.
Screen presentations of the year in photographs, followed by a video summary of our last 12 months achievements, were shown as food was served. Then onto a family quiz followed by the awards, the highlights of which included the Handicap Improvers medals presented to Lily Wright and Kevin Macey. Special recognition awards included those to Lily Wright and Eva Jefferies, Grace Chappell, Kieran Macey, Elaina Curran and Graham Peters.
The evening’s top awards went to:
Young Club Person of the Year was presented to Emily Summers and the ClubPerson of the Year Trophy was presented jointly to Christine Anderton and Andrew Lunt.
recognising the all the volunteering work they do to support the Club.
