Winter Field League
Now in full swing, 2 events completed, record attendances, 3rd event programmed for 2nd December when the various divisions will be decided for the rest of the Winter League fixtures.
Thank you to Men-in-Sheds for adding hand rails and anti-slip wire to 12 of the bridges. Despite a lot of rain the late leaf fall has kept the majority of paths mud free!
Gloucestershire Junior Championships – 26th November
We are again hosting this event at Balcarras. Good luck to all the competitors taking part. I understand there is even going to be music played between ends!

Good luck to the Deer Park Short Mat Bowls team competing this Sunday at Leominster in a 40 team tournament.
Work begins this week on preparing the holes for the semi-mature fruit tree orchard being planted in part of our top wildflower meadow.
We are waiting for a delivery of Alder saplings to plant in one of the open wet areas in Fletchers Wood.
200+ hard wood Buddleja cuttings have been planted to help complete our butterfly walk.
Our first Tawny Owl box is ready to secure in one of our Fletchers Wood trees, completed by one of our junior members doing a D. of E. Project.
Final grass cut of our target range took place this week, that brings to an end the highest number of cuts in one season that we have recorded!
We had a very successful audit by Gloucestershire County Council reviewing our Solar Panel Project which they have part funded.

Graham Peters is on a week long course in Lausan, Switzerland on a L3 World Archery Coaching Course!
Harriet & Ryan are at Lilleshall on Saturday as part of GB Development Squad. Dan is also there in the capacity as Coach.
Chloe & Louise are also at Lilleshall on the Sunday as part of the National Squad.
Also at Lilleshall as part of a Para Programme over the weekend are James and Sarah. Julian is also there as part of his coach training.
