European Youth Championships selection for Patras, Greece from 26th June
We are very proud to confirm that 3 of the 6 female compound archers selected are from Deer Park! Lucy Mason and Ella Gibson are joined by Holly Clifford making her GB debut. Well done to all of them and to the whole GB team which looks very strong.
The selections were made following a second selection shoot and all athletes have demonstrated internationally competitive performance levels and GB expect to feature strongly in the challenge for medals.

County Field Championship preparation well under way.
With less than a week to us hosting the county field championships the preparation of an almost completely fresh course is nearing completion. The morning round will be unmarked and the afternoon marked. As well as using our own wooded area we are also using 2 adjacent fields and our thanks go to our very supportive farmer!

As part of our initiative to support the development of field archery across the county, we already run a winter mini-league and last Sunday we ran an introduction to field archery course for juniors and 27 attended!

Open Community Shoot
We had our highest attendance of the year last Saturday and despite hosting the previously mentioned field event this coming Saturday, we are also running the Community Shoot on a different part of the field.

Very well done to Sarah, finishing 3rd in the Ladies Recurve, Lucy also finishing 3rd in the Ladies Compound and Ella finishing 8th.
Junior Zip Wire Evening goes online.
Juniors can now book online to secure their place, parents can eat or drink at the local pub.
Car boot Sale sets new record.
Thank you to all the volunteers for turning this into a good fundraising event, raising more than in previous years. Unfortunately Vanessa who was organising the event, had to pull out at the last moment, having broken her leg stretching into her wardrobe for sale items and taking a tumble!
Great Appeal response!
We asked members if they had a Fridge, parasol or notice board available. In the event we were offered 2 fridges, a freezer, 3 parasols and 10 notice boards. Nice response guys!

2 more started yesterday evening as did a returners event.
John gets his trophy a little late!
John Craigie won the county indoor longbow championships earlier this year, the previous winner David Ponton had not attended this years event, so he got it engraved and presented it to John last weekend. Well done John!
