As the outdoor season draws to a close there has been no let up in sparkling achievements both on and off the field of play! Impossible to do things justice in just a few lines but let us give it a try!
Star man – Sam Bowden, barebow under 12’s has broken 5 National Records, won the Junior Masters, won the Regionals, broken countless County Records!

Ella Gibson again won the National Series adding to many other achievements including being ranked World No1 Ladies Compound and qualification for the Hyundai Archery World Cup Final in Mexico.

Phoebe Paterson Pine MBE, again World Ranked No1, won multiple titles, broke numerous World, European and UK records and this week was awarded the prestigious Gussy Trophy.

Grace Chappell having won 2 medals at the European Youth Championships then representing England winning 2 more medals at the European Commonwealth Championships.

We were awarded the AGB Ontarget Performance Club of the Year for our support of all our members and talent development!

We hosted the 2 day Junior Masters and earned 5 star feedback from the competitors and parents! Not to forget we also recorded our second World Record at our ground, congratulations to Penny Healey from ArcheryGB.

We delivered a full British Record Status Portsmouth on weekend 1 of our indoor winter programme!

We installed a new boule area and clout shooting line which could also act as an overspill car park.

We completed the installation of many new field course features including a stairway and 3 bridges to Crocodile Island, in readiness for our Winter Field League.

We endorsed the project to extend our Covered Shooting Area, adding a social gathering zone and new men-in-sheds workshop, initiating a formal planning application.

We secured support to improve our flowering meadow areas.

We completed our plans and agreed a late November installation date for the 70 solar panels to generate more power than we use!

We again kept our annual membership fee at just £20, recognising the economic pressures we are all beginning to see.
With our Club Annual Awards Ceremony planned for the 18th November the challenge will be how we recognise and celebrate 12 months of achievements!
