Our 19th Annual Awards Evening was another great success, highlighting another year of great achievement both on and off the field of play! Once again we took the opportunity to celebrate success and remind ourselves of the great fun we have enjoyed, in a superb venue surrounded by friends and supporters.

The top awards of the Jos Benfield Senior & Junior Club Persons of the year went to Peter Sisson and Harriet Beckinsale-Smith recognising their outstanding services to the Club!

In addition to the amazing achievements of Ella Gibson and Phoebe Pine there was recognition for the 3 most memorable moments of the year with Ethan Hendry at the age of 15 winning the Senior British Running Archery Championships, Chloe A’Bear recording her first 700 and becoming UK Masters Champion and to Lily Wright representing GB in the European Championships and at the age of just 14 winning individual bronze and team gold in the under 18 category.

Supporting an excellent opening address from Sean Kains, our Vice-Chair which highlighted the importance of volunteering, we had 3 other excellent presentations.
Elaina Curran gave a presentation on our Club’s major contribution to the very successful activities of the County and Harriet, Lily and Chloe on their overseas experiences with ArcheryGB.
Ian Green and Ethan gave an overview of ‘Running Archery’ and their experiences representing GB in the European Championships in Paris.

In addition to an excellent family quiz focused around archery we had some fun rounds of Archery ‘Beetle’ Drive.

Finally another big thank you to all our volunteers throughout the year, making this incredible evening possible!
Besides the normal scheduled practice sessions happening over the weekend, we are hosting one of the winter 3D field archery events on the Saturday, a radio controlled car racing event on the Sunday afternoon and an Astronomy Club meeting that evening.
Well done to Peter Sisson who on Saturday was at Lilleshall as a finalist in the ArcheryGB Recognition Awards in the Championing Inclusive ArcheryGB category.
