A few headlines of just some of our recent activities. Due to so much going on, we have recently let our regular reporting slip, we will do our best to more regularly report our news worthy activities.
GB/England Selection
Congratulations to Ian Green and Ethan Hendry on representing GB at the 2025 Run Archery European Cup in Paris, they did us proud! Also to Ethan for winning senior gold at the Run Archery National Series Finals!
We are doing our best to grow interest with fun challenges at our Junior Only Coaching sessions.
Also congratulations to Kieran Macey, Lily Partridge and Sam Bowden for being selected to represent England at the upcoming National Indoor Championships.
Ontarget Refresh
We have registered our commitment to fully engage with ArcheryGB to proactively and creatively work towards becoming a stronger club. Under the leadership of our Club Vice-Chair Sean Kains we have appointed a team of 4 to focus on each of the specialisms. They will assess our current performance against the specialisms and our Club Objectives and then propose areas for development back to the Management Committee for their endorsement.

Annual Membership Success!
Despite administrative challenges the traunch of October Annual Renewals has been completed and we are pleased to report that comparing membership levels at the same time last year we are showing a 20% increase!
Splay Issues
All users of our facilities are asked to take additional care when exiting onto the Shurdington Road as the visibility of oncoming traffic from the left has been significantly reduced due to the installation of some hedging that we believe does not comply with planning regulations. We have registered a number of formal complaints with Highways and Planning.
Mind/Allsorts Usage
We are pleased to continue to host and provide equipment, free of charge to a number of organisations to run well-being have-a-go sessions at the ground and in the Clubhouse.
Extension Project Update
Our Extension Project is almost complete and this will trigger the various developments across many parts of our facilities.

Woodland/Field Course Update
A very successful 2 day 3D weekend with lots of great feedback and a surge in bookings for our event in May. The new shooting tower has provided us with a range of great shots!
Preparation has begun for the commencement of our Winter Field League starting in November.
Thank you to our skilled Men-in-Sheds who have felled a number of large dead trees and then used the materials to create areas of interest and great habitats for the wildlife. We have also planted a good number of replacement trees and working on a number of our hedgerows.
As part of the Extension Project we now have much improved storage of the 3Ds which will also facilitate our 3D restoration programme!
Annual Awards Evening
Our Club Annual Awards evening is planned for 28th November at Dowty Sports and Social Centre. Members can book here.
Social Calendar
Our annual visit to the Alpine F1 factory proved to be another inspiring experience!
Upcoming social events include Halloween shoot – 1st November, Junior Christmas Party – 12th December, Festive Field Shoot – 20th December and the Adult Only Flight Club – 4th January.

Since mid-September we have completed 2 indoor record status events and hosted the 2 day County 3D Field Championships.
