New Coaching Strategy
A Management Review has identified a need for growth in coaching to support our expanding membership and improve development opportunities for both coaches and archers. Key actions include:
• Training at least 8 new coaches.
• Introducing a monthly Coaching Development Week, with focused sessions for intermediate archers and coach development.
• Leveraging new technology with recently installed overhead and side-mounted cameras to enhance coaching support.
Field Course Updates
• Winter Field Course Finale: Happening this weekend, with all four divisions fully booked and a waiting list! Huge thanks to our Field Course team for their hard work.
• New 12-Target Layout: After conclusion of the Winter League, our course will transition to support AGB Field Classifications, from Archer 3rd Class to Bowman 1st Class. Learn more here.
• Flood Update: Despite recent extensive flooding, our course is back in shape thanks to our dedicated volunteers. Adjustments are being made to minimise future flood damage.
Policies Published
New policies for Volunteering, Associate Membership, and Guests are now live. Check them out on our website: Deer Park Archers Documents. These clarify the vital role of volunteers and how we welcome visitors to the club.
Extension Project Update
Our £131k extension project is progressing well! A heartfelt thank you to Archery GB, Sport England, Tewkesbury Borough Council, and The Worshipful Company of Fletchers for their support. Our Crowdfunding Campaign is thriving, and we’re optimistic about grant applications.

Social Program Highlights
• Flight Club (Darts): Our first-ever event was a huge success! Congratulations to Peter Sisson for winning. Stay tuned for the next one.
• Board Games Evening: Happening this week, catering to all ages.
• Laser Tag Night: Almost fully booked—just 2 places left!
• Short-Mat Bowls: Congratulations to our undefeated team for an amazing all-day competition performance!
Recycling Initiative
Our pallet recycling efforts are a big hit! From bird and bat boxes (selling fast!) to larger builds like woodland sheds, Badger hide and field course enhancements, the initiative is making a significant environmental and financial impact.
Record Status Vegas
Our Record Status Vegas shoot was a resounding success, with all proceeds supporting the Crowdfunder. Highlights include:
• 10 National Records (awaiting ratification).

Site Security
We’ve enhanced site security with eight cameras and required signage supporting our monitored fire and security alarm system.
