Congratulations to our four members selected for the County Senior Squad
Lynne – Selected for the County Team
Well done to Lynne &Martin for being selected to represent Gloucestershire at the GWAS Inter-Counties event later this month, this is the first time they have been selected. Ian and Beckie, who is still a junior, complete the line up and it means that 3 of the 4 longbow places are Deer Park. Lynne only started longbow last year and this is her first year of longbow competition, Martin was the club Archer of the Month for August.
Another 2 National Records for Lucy Mason – Sunday 2nd September
Lucy took a trip across the Severn Bridge to record another 2 National Records recording 1396 on a Metric, smashing the previous record and also broke her own distance record for 10m with a perfect score of 360 and mostly X’s. Well done Lucy.
Gloucestershire Junior Championships – 8th September
Thank you to all those that have volunteered to help at the event, another great response from members! Entries are now closed, lots of entries, many Deer Park and so many juniors entering their first competition!
‘Ontarget’ Specialisms
As you all know we are already a ‘Community’ Specialist Club, we have just completed our application to become a ‘Young People’ Specialist Club and are only a few days away from completing our submission to become a ‘Performance’ Specialist Club. The process for submission is an excellent way to review our current position and identify areas we need to strengthen.
