Big Weekend Event
Hi everyone, sadly due to flooding of the shooting area at Old Pats all shooting has been cancelled today (Saturday), this includes the ‘Big Weekend’ event, Inclusion & Club Shoot this evening.
Access to the shooting area and the kit/waiting area is 3 inches under water so shooting is just not possible.
We did not take this decision likely as site/paths etc were strimmed, extra bosses fixed in place and lots of volunteers arranged!
We will arrange another date for the ‘Big Weekend’ event as soon as possible!
Some Great News! Well done to Lucy & James!
There were bronze medals for both our GB compound cadet teams. Kirsten George, Lucy Mason and Isabelle Carpenter beat Ukraine 212-196. Turkey took gold after beating Russia.
And James Passingham, James Howse and Dean Hamilton edged victory – and the medal – by beating Russia 212-211. Turkey took gold again, beating Italy 224-219.
Archery GB Events and Facilities Manager Jon Nott, who is in Ljubljana with the team, said: “It’s a great day for Great Britain. Four medals and possibly more to come. What a brilliant result!”
