We are delighted to confirm that we have made the shortlist for the Going Green Award at the Community Sport and Recreation Awards 2024, a nationally-recognised programme organised by the Sport and Recreation Alliance.
Nominated for our work on Going Green during the past year, we are one of the Clubs on a three-strong shortlist for the award.
Our congratulations go to the other 2 finalists for their fantastic work, British Athletics and Eat. Sleep. Ride. CIC.
The winner will be crowned at an awards ceremony on 8 March 2024 at Headingley Stadium in Leeds, the home of Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Each of the winners in the eight awards categories will receive £1000 to help support their work in the future.
On being named a finalist Steve Howse our Chairman said: “As ‘Going Green’ has become part of our DNA, our momentum has seen us make massive changes during 2023, being short listed for this award is a great way to share our memberships achievements, thank you to everyone involved!”
