A very busy weekend in December!

Annual Awards & Beetle Drive Friday 7th December

The awards were presented by Mr. Jonathan Edmunds – Aspire Sports (GL1) during an evening held at Hatherley & Reddings Cricket Club.

This Annual Awards Evening is combined with a family Beetle Drive, excellent food and all costs are covered by the club as a big thank you to all its members and their families!

In addition to the awards there were video presentations highlighting the club achievements during the last 12 months and even personalized music to announce the winners of each award!

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to make this evening a great success!

Some great food and it was almost a shame to eat it.

National League Field Course Competition – Sunday 9th December

Well done to Rosemarie & Martin Mckay and all our volunteers that helped host our first National League home fixture. The feedback about the course, which was challenging, was excellent and hopefully word will spread for our next home fixture planned in February. There were 3 photographers on the course and we will add results and photos to the club website as soon as we have them.

We need to get another date asap for a club shoot (perhaps over Christmas) to give a chance for more of our members to try field archery. Watch for an update!

Club Development Centre – Sunday 9th December

Another fantastic event, a big thank you to all the coaches that supported it, a long day for many of them with a 9:30 start and 4pm finish. We are certainly starting to see the results of our efforts with significant improvements in our archers.

Club Practice session – Saturday 8th December

Thank you to Graham Kent for bringing along a couple of tins of Quality Street/Roses, amazing how quickly they are consumed. Also thank you to Martin Hutchings for allowing Izzy (One of our new British Junior Champion) to try his low poundage Gary Evens Longbow, I think a similar bow may have just been added to Izzy’s Christmas list!

Competition Success

Well done to John Craigie & Martin Hutchings who won Silver & Bronze respectively at the Double Worcester tournament on the weekend. Also, well done to James Howse who broke the County U14 record scoring  295 on a Worcester and to Austin Whitmarsh who continued his great form to break the County Under 12 record by some 81  points, recording 233.

Martin & John – Success at the Double Worcester.

A new string does it for Chloe!

Everything is starting to drop into place for Chloe and a new string has certainly helped.

Chloe – Some excellent shooting at Kingshill!
