Deer Park Archers are pleased to announce a partnership supporting ‘Listening Post’. They are a professional voluntary counselling service providing counselling for anyone over 18, regardless of financial status, gender, religion, sexual orientation or ethnic origin.
Listening Post provides a counselling service to adults living in Gloucestershire who are suffering emotional and psychological distress.
This partnership complements our Club Mission of supporting the development and wellbeing of the whole person and not just the archer. It also links well with our Men-in-Sheds Club objectives and recent initiatives to promote member’s various local ‘health test’ initiatives.
As well as promoting the services available, we will organise team development and fundraising activities and provide the services of our ‘Men-in-Sheds’ group to help with decorating etc.

Junior Masters Confirmation
Thank you to ArcheryGB for confirming that we will again be hosting the Junior Masters Weekend on the 9th & !0th September 2023.
Our ground will look immaculate for the Junior Masters event.
Urban Meadow at Deer Park
Club volunteers have cleared a large area surrounding the range, preparing the ground for a sowing of meadow flowers.
This will complement other areas where a variety of poppies and naturalised bulbs have been established, primrose banks encouraged next to stunning display of snowdrops. To attract the bees and particularly butterflies we have also established a managed row of Buddleia bushes.
Our hedgerows are now maturing and providing a large variety of fruits and berries for the local wildlife.
